Reviews should come from people who directly hired, paid, managed, received or personally observed the work described.
Evidence and specificity
We encourage reviewers to provide dates, photos, contracts, invoices, permit information and correspondence where available. Reviewers should distinguish facts they personally observed from opinions and conclusions.
No impersonation or harassment
Do not impersonate a contractor, customer or third party. Do not publish home addresses, private phone numbers, family information or other unnecessary personal information. Threats and harassment are not permitted.
Disputed issues
Where material facts are disputed, the review should fairly describe the disagreement. Contractors may submit a response and may request correction of verifiable factual errors.
Updates
Reviewers are encouraged to update their review when a contractor makes repairs, resolves a dispute, provides a refund or otherwise materially changes the status of the matter.
